Ali Mohammad Zanganeh has highlighted the strides Golestan province is making towards development and progress under the 13th government’s initiatives.
As reported by Fars, Zanganeh acknowledged the historic underdevelopment in infrastructure within parts of the province, noting that redressing these deficits requires sustained efforts over the coming years.
The Governor of Golestan underscored the foundational steps taken thus far, which have been systematically planned and executed based on a roadmap that identifies challenges and proposes tailored solutions.
Looking towards the future, Zanganeh envisions a holistic advancement for Golestan, with the aviation sector playing a pivotal role. Emphasizing the potential leveraged by two significant airports in the province, he confirmed recent discussions with the Deputy Minister and the head of the Civil Aviation Organization. These talks concluded with the authorization to establish Golestan’s first airline. Anticipated to be operational by the year’s end, the airline will commence with contributions from the private sector.
According to Zanganeh, this move is expected to boost tourism economic growth and provide convenience for business travel within the province and beyond. He also noted that plans are in place to facilitate a substantial increase in tourism and aviation-related sports at Kalaleh Airport, situated in the eastern part of Golestan. This initiative is supported by private sector investment and endorsed by the Civil Aviation Organization.
