Mohammad Mohammadi, head of the Civil Aviation Organization, announced the finalization of the first phase of the construction of the new Iran 140 plane platform and said that the first flight of this plane will be done by the end of the year.

Remembering that the aviation industry is one of the leading industries in the world, which is at the edge of technology, Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh said: Accordingly, this industry must keep pace with the rate of scientific growth in the world. Due to various reasons, the most important of which is the sanctions issue, we have either not benefited from this technology transfer from the main owners of the world’s aircraft or helicopter manufacturers, and this has been the most important issue that has been discussed in the past few years. After the revolution, we have been struggling with it in the area of ​​sanctions.

He continued: Regarding the transfer of technology, the sale of parts, publications, and support carried out by aircraft manufacturing countries, which are among their main duties based on ICAO rules, but Iran has been sanctioned. Since the beginning of the revolution, great men and great women have worked hard and done many things in the field of aviation, and today, despite all these pressures and sanctions, our industry is standing on its own feet and fulfilling its mission.

Stating that today we have 330 airplanes in the country, 175 of which are active, he added: Based on the scientific work according to our 90 airports and our 80 million population, we need 550 planes in different types and classes that should operate in the country.

The head of the aviation organization continued: conceptual designs and preliminary designs of structures have been done and we basically have an airplane factory. This is the most important issue that has developed in the last two decades. There is a very good infrastructure and knowledge-based companies have been identified as very reputable companies.
