Amir Mokri, Chairman and CEO of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company, stated at the opening ceremony of Jahrom Airport projects: Fars Province is the fourth province in the country in terms of size and population with various cultural, historical, religious, and natural attractions as one of the important tourism centers.
The city of Jahrom, as the largest city in the south of Fars, has a special place with its demographic and developmental characteristics.
The 50-year-old airport is considered by provincial and city officials as one of the important infrastructures for passenger and cargo transportation and effective in sustainable development.
The opening of Jahrom Airport projects on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution is a gift from the government to the people of Jahrom.
With the opening of the new terminal of Jahrom Airport with an area of 2300 square meters and landscaping of 2600 square meters worth over 500 billion Rials, the capacity of sending and receiving passengers at the airport will increase to 220 thousand people per year.
