Azim Tahmasabi, General Manager of South Khorasan Airports, announced an increase in flight services at Shahid Kaveh Birjand International Airport, with Arvan Airlines adding new flights to their schedule.
Starting November 20, Arvan Airlines will operate two additional weekly flights on Mondays and Thursdays between Tehran and Birjand. The Boeing 737 flights from Arvan will depart from Mehrabad Airport at 7:30 AM on Mondays, arriving at Birjand Airport at 9:00 AM and then leaving Birjand at 9:45 AM to return to Tehran.
Furthermore, the Thursday flights will leave Mehrabad for Birjand at 7:00 AM, arriving at 8:30 AM, and will take off from Birjand at 9:15 AM for the return journey.
Tahmasabi expressed optimism about the future of these routes, stating that with sufficient passenger demand, there could be a continuation and further increase in Arvan Airlines’ flights. He also noted that the flight schedule for Tabas Airport will remain unchanged for the winter, maintaining its eight round-trip flights.
Presently, there are 16 round-trip flights weekly between Tehran and Birjand, in addition to 2 round-trip flights connecting Birjand with Mashhad.
